To prepare for public health emergencies, the EAC Secretariat, supported by WHO and GIZ, conducted a training of emergency response Partner States' experts and officials on management of public health emergencies at ports of entry as well as an emergency simulation to strengthen preparedness and bolster response to future public health emergencies.
